Disaster Preparedness

In a bid to ensure that devastating (effects of) natural disasters such as Typhoon Ondoy will never happen again, the local government of Tanay is currently training its employees on disaster preparedness and response and climate change adaptation (DRRM/CCA).

Peace and Order

Tanay PNP has been continually ensuring that policies and programs are being implemented to address peace and order issues in the municipality. Under then Tanay PNP Chief Bartolome O. Marigondon, a Local Anti-Criminality Action Plan was put in place, which called for the mandatory placement of closed circuit television (CCTV) system for business establishments with over P500,000 in capital.

Environmental Management

Tanay, being part of the Sierra Madre Mountain range and one of the coastal towns surrounding the Laguna de Bay, is fully conscious of the need to enforce environmental protection programs. Accordingly, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office under Engr. Carlos Inofre, Jr has long been championing programs that put emphasis on caring for the environment.

Tanay becomes the recipient of RxBox

The Municipality of Tanay recognizes the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) in the the delivery of basic services to the public especially on health care provision. Mayor Rafael A. Tanjuatco has initiated to avail the services of UP Manila – National Telehealth Center in realizing this aim. After few coordination, Tanay has now becomes the RxBox recipient. RxBox is a portable telemedicine device connected to an electronic medical record. It can capture physiologic signals, store the data as an electronic medical record and send them to clinical specialists should there be a need for specialized care. This project is a product of NTHC’s collaboration with the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Institute (EEEI) of UP Diliman, and the Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and is a research program funded by the DOST – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD). For nearly half a century, seventy year old Anselmo Dela Cruz makes a living for his family through illegal logging and charcoal burning in a remote upland area of Tanay, Rizal.

"Ang Huling Pag-uuling" ( The Last Charcoal Making) tells a story of cultural change and indigenous lifestyle adaptation in their small community though the perspective of "Ka Selmo".

National Women's Month

As part of the month-long celebration of National Women's Month, the Municipality of Tanay celebrated with a simple yet meaningful event on March 5, 2023. After the flag raising ceremony, the female employees of LGU-Tanay received a warm welcome from Mayor Lito Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, and the rest of the sangguniang bayan members.
As a gesture of appreciation and recognition, all the female employees were given a beautiful rose as admiration reminding everyone of the valuable contributions made by women in the workforce. To kickstart their day with energy and enthusiasm, a delicious breakfast with brewed coffee has been available to the women workforce.

"Love Wins in Tanay: Kasalang Bayan 2023 Joins 79 Couples in Matrimony"

On February 14, 2023, the municipality of Tanay, Rizal held its Kasalang Bayan 2023. Spearheaded by the Honorable Mayor Rafael “Lito” A. Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Manuel C. Tanjuatco, and the Sangguniang Bayan, the event was a resounding success, with 79 couples taking part in the mass wedding ceremony held at the Tanay Municipal Grounds.

Athlete's Cash Assistance Pay-out, ibinigay sa mga Atleta ng Tanay

Ngayong Marso 1, 2023, nagsagawa ng Athlete's Cash Assistance Pay-out sa Pamahalaang Bayan ng Tanay sa pamamagitan ng mga inisyatibo nina Mayor Lito Tanjuatco at Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco at ng Sangguniang Bayan. Ito ay bilang tulong sa mga Atletang magrerepresenta sa ating bayan sa Palarong Panlalawigan 2023.
