Tanay Tourism Office’s Jeffrey M. Pino bagged this year’s Most Outstanding Tourism Officer title in the recently concluded 10th Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines – Department of Tourism (ATOP-DOT) Pearl Award Night held at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.
Mr. Pino, Tanay Tourism Officer for almost 5 years, bested two other finalists – Ms. Susan Laboriante of the Municipality of Duenas, Iloilo and Ms. Flordeliza Villaseñor of the City of Manila.
The Pearl Awards, launched in 2005, is the ATOP and DOT’s venue to recognize the exceptional practices, projects, and innovations done by the men and women in the community and the tourism industry. As a tradition, the Pearl Awards also serves as the highlight of the annual ATOP-DOT Convention that gathers tourism officers and stakeholders all around the Philippines.
With Mr. Pino’s win, the Province of Rizal got a back-to-back victory as Angono Tourism Office’s Patnubay Tiamson also won the coveted title in 2014.
