Tanay Photography Contest 2017
This year 7th Tanay Hane Festival 2017 will highlight the beauty of Tanay from amateur photographer to pro-photographers. Three categories are open to all locals and tourist of Tanay.
Who are qualified to join?
•Open to all locals and tourists of Tanay.
•This contest is open to entrants aged 16 and above.
(under 18 participants need to have a consent letter from their guardian)
•The participants must be presently residing in the Philippines.

A Selfie Photo Competition

• Take a creative selfie of yourself in any of Tanay Nature Tourist Destination.
• It must be uploaded in Facebook or Instragram accessible by Public with Hashtag #TanayHaneFestivalSmile #SmileAndShineTanay
• Selfies can only be submitted in the form of photo and not any other form of work.
• Only 1 entry per participant every month.
• Submitted photo must have a minimum file size of 1MB and maximum file size of 10MB
• The destination must be visible in the selfie.
• A selfie is considered any picture of yourself you can make holding the camera in hand or by using selfie stick or other related devices.
• A self portrait is not allowed and this is when put the camera on a tripod or any support to make the picture, controlling it with the remote shutter or the settings of your camera or by using drone and related devices.
• The photo must be taken year 2015-to present

A Group Shot (Groupie) photography Competition.

• Take a creative Groupie of yourself or your friends in any of Tanay Nature Tourist Destination.
• It must be uploaded in Facebook or Instragram accessible by Public with Hashtag #TanayHaneFestivalShine #SmileAndShineTanay
• Groupie can only be submitted in the form of photo and not any other form of work.
• Only 1 entry per participant every month.
• Submitted photo must have a minimum file size of 1MB and maximum file size of 10MB
• The destination must be visible in the groupie.
• Each person in the Group Shot entry must agree and have knowledge that the photo is submitted for this competition.
• The photo must be taken year 2015-to present

Category: Tanay
A conventional Photo Contest.
• Photo must be taken in any of Tanay Nature Tourist Destination
• The photo must be taken year 2015-to present.
• The photo must be in landscape size.
• Only 1 entry per participant every month.
• Submitted photo must have a minimum file size of 3MB and maximum file size of 20MB (300DPI)
• Only minimal editing is allowed. (Raw file must be submitted with exif file)
• No watermark
• By submitting your entry, you agree that the materials sent will be automatically be a property of LGU Tanay
• Entries also must be accompanied by a photo caption or words describing the photo’s content and story behind the photo. To be eligible for this contest.
• Cropped photos are eligible. Minor adjustments, including spotting, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents, are acceptable. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to move the photo to Altered Images or to disqualify it.
• For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model letter of consent from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian and provide it to the Organizing Committee upon request.
• Entrants whose photos depict other people’s work (such as sculptures, statues, paintings, and other copyrightable works) may be need to obtain a release from the rights holder and provide it to the Organizing Committee upon request.
• When photographing the work of others, it must be as an object in its environment and not a full-frame close-up of another person's creation.
• Photographs that have won any other contests are not eligible to join the competition. We define “winning” as having won a grand prize or 1st, 2nd or 3rd place overall. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.
• Photos that contain sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by the Organizing Committee in its sole discretion, are ineligible for this contest.

Copyright
Photographers will retain full copyright over the submitted entries. However, they will authorize Municipal Government of Tanay to use the photos in any promotional campaign or materials without compensation or remuneration.
Conditions of Entry
• The Committee reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries and/or contestants who are unable to submit upon request.
• The Committee may collect a photograph’s metadata upon entry.
• The Committee reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the winners, the Committee reserves the right to award or not award the prizes in its sole discretion. The Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way to: inhibit the enjoyment of others; tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of the Committee are final and binding.
• The Municipal Government of Tanay is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures, or other errors or problems which may occur in connection with the Contest, whether computer, network, technical, mechanical, typographical, printing, human or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of entries, the announcement of the prizes, in any Contest- related materials, or that may limit prize fulfillment or a participant's ability to enter the Contest. Sponsor reserve the right to amend these official rules and to permanently disqualify from the Contest any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules.
