The global trend of disaster nowadays urge every members of the society to keep abreast with the four thematic areas of DRRM namely, (1) Disaster Prevention and Mitigation; (2) Disaster Preparedness; (3) Disaster Response; and (4) Disaster Rehabilitation and Recovery. The MDRRMO and its partner agencies, through the initiative of Mayor RM Tanjuatco, conducted an orientation on DRR CCA to the Sangguniang Kabataan officials of 19 barangays last Saturday, July 14 at the Dumagat Hall, University of Rizal System, Tanay Main Campus.
Engr. Carlos Inofre Jr discussed to them thoroughly the four thematic areas of DRR and the basic concept of climate change adaptation. Present also to give an inspirational message is Mayor Tanjuatco. Also, to address other related topics were fire officer Alan Martinez and SPO4 Manuel Padlan.
The SK participants were group into six, and each group were given time to prepare for their Programs, Projects and Activities related to DRR CCA as part of the workshop. Each group performed first their yell then the PPA's.
