Elements of the 80th Infantry (80IB) Battalion under its Commanding Officer LTC Randolph Cabangbang have charged personnel of Blue Star Construction and Development Corporation (BSCDC) with multiple attempted murder, as well as violation of R.A. 10591 and Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines.

Citing multiple violations of environmental ordinances, building codes, and safety regulations, the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) of Tanay, Rizal and the Masungi Rock Management Council (MRMC) temporarily suspended the operations of the Masungi Karst Eco-park effective January 26, 2016.
Masungi Karst is located in Lot 10 titled to the Republic of the Philippines and is being eyed as Tanay’s newest eco-tourism site.

Last 2009, the Supreme Court of the Philippines launched its Enhanced Justice on Wheels (EJOW) Program in the Province of Rizal. It aims to continue to provide access to justice for the indigent detention prisoners. Last April 1, 2016 the EJOW was set to visit the Rizal Province, particularly at the Hall of Justice of Morong, Rizal and the Bureau of Jail Management & Penology, Tanay, Rizal.

It is with a mixture of amusement and alarm that the local officials of Tanay, Rizal reacted to the recent allegations made by the people behind the Masungi Georeserve in its Facebook post dated March 9, 2016.
The Administrator/s of the Masungi Georeserve Facebook page alleged that Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco and Tanay PNP COP Bartolome Marigondon are in connivance with what the former alleged as land grabbers.
The former claimed that Mayor Tanjuatco, through the local PNP, is aiding alleged land grabbers by ‘illegally taking down’ a portion of the perimeter fencing that the Masungi Georeserve management has erected along a property it has claimed as its own without any legal basis.
