ABOUT THE SERVICE:   Where a marriage license is required, each of the contracting parties shall file separate sworn application for such license with the proper local civil registrar of the place where either or both of the contracting parties reside.

            The local civil registrar concerned shall enter all applications for marriage license filed in a registry book strictly in the order in which the same are received.

            When the license is issued, the same shall be valid in any part of the Philippines for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of issue, and shall be deemed automatically cancelled at the expiration date of the said period if the contracting parties have not made use of it.


            A man and a woman, og legal age, and with no legal impediments to marry, who wish to enter into a special contract of permanent union for the establishment of conjugal family life.

1. Proceed to the Office of the Civil Registrar inquire about the service and secure checklist of requirements and information sheet. Explains and gives briefing about the service, issues information sheet  and provides checklist to client and gives  other instructions.

2. Submit all the required documents and fill up the application form (both parties). Wait as the staff prepares the documents and give instructions. Reviews documents submitted, interviews both parties and prepares the Notice, Advice/Consent. Issues order of payment form and instruct parties to pay fees and proceed to Population Commission Office.

2.Pay the corresponding fees at Mun. Treasurer’s Office.

3. Proceed to Office of the Population Commission for marriage counseling. Interviews and schedule for marriage counseling.

4. Return to the LCRO and present the official receipt to the staff and entrust all the required documents for the 10-day posting period.

Advise client to inform their mother/father who will give advice/consent before the release of the marriage license.

5. Return to LCRO as instructed and claim the marriage license.

Review again the application for completeness. Prepares the marriage license, the MCR signs the license.

The Power of Collective Action: The Clean-Up Drive in Tanay

The Municipality of Tanay recently conducted a Municipal-wide Clean-up Drive in observance  Earth Hour 2023. This event aimed to promote environmental conservation and protection in the municipality. It also proved to be a massive success. Through the initiative of the local officials, including Hon. Rafael 'Lito' Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, Sangguniang Bayan members, and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, approximately 905 participants from different sectors joined forces to collect waste materials littered around public areas.

National Women's Month

As part of the month-long celebration of National Women's Month, the Municipality of Tanay celebrated with a simple yet meaningful event on March 5, 2023. After the flag raising ceremony, the female employees of LGU-Tanay received a warm welcome from Mayor Lito Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, and the rest of the sangguniang bayan members.
As a gesture of appreciation and recognition, all the female employees were given a beautiful rose as admiration reminding everyone of the valuable contributions made by women in the workforce.   To kickstart their day with energy and enthusiasm, a delicious breakfast with brewed coffee has been available to the women workforce.
