guidelines caving

  1. Registration at the Barangay Hall / Tourism Reception Desk is required.  Fees are to be transacted at the same office.
  2. Never enter a cave alone!

  3. Medical Certificate/Physical Examination by a competent physician from the point of origin is a must to ensure that climbers are physically and mentally fit to do strenuous physical activity.

     

  4. Cave in groups of at least five and have an experienced caver in the group. Cave guide is a MUST.

  5. Always have at least there reliable sources of light.

  6. Know the cave and check weather condition before entering.

  7. Always wear a helmet & have proper equipment in good working order.

  8. Always have twice as many spare batteries than you think you will need to complete the trip.

  9. Know your limits and have proper training and safety equipment before attempting caving activity.

  10. It is illegal to: break or remove broken formations; disturb harm or remove cave creatures; disturb or remove historic artifacts or bones; deface the cave by leaving litter or marking on the cave walls.

  11. Do not leave anything in the cave.

  12. Dispose of all trash properly.

  13. Never use ropes, ladders, etc. that have been left in a cave.

  14. Never run in a cave, and never jump when you can climb.

  15. Always stay clear of people above and below when climbing.

  16. Always stay with your group, do not wander off.

  17. Never drink cave water, it may look clean, but can be polluted.

  18. If anyone on the trip becomes injured or is excessively tired, the injured person should be escorted from the cave ASAP by other experienced tour members.

  19. Please report cave vandals to the cave management.

  20. Practice LNT (leave No Trace)

  21. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.

The Municipality of Tanay recently received a courtesy visit from MSpecialty Printing (MSP) Inc. President, Mr. Katsuo Ito, and his team from Japan. The visit included a ceremonial turnover of their donation projects as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The Power of Collective Action: The Clean-Up Drive in Tanay


The Municipality of Tanay recently conducted a Municipal-wide Clean-up Drive in observance  Earth Hour 2023. This event aimed to promote environmental conservation and protection in the municipality. It also proved to be a massive success. Through the initiative of the local officials, including Hon. Rafael 'Lito' Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, Sangguniang Bayan members, and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, approximately 905 participants from different sectors joined forces to collect waste materials littered around public areas.

National Women's Month

As part of the month-long celebration of National Women's Month, the Municipality of Tanay celebrated with a simple yet meaningful event on March 5, 2023. After the flag raising ceremony, the female employees of LGU-Tanay received a warm welcome from Mayor Lito Tanjuatco, Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco, and the rest of the sangguniang bayan members.
As a gesture of appreciation and recognition, all the female employees were given a beautiful rose as admiration reminding everyone of the valuable contributions made by women in the workforce.   To kickstart their day with energy and enthusiasm, a delicious breakfast with brewed coffee has been available to the women workforce.
