The Municipality of Tanay recognizes the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) in the the delivery of basic services to the public especially on health care provision. Mayor Rafael A. Tanjuatco has initiated to avail the services of UP Manila – National Telehealth Center in realizing this aim. After few coordination, Tanay has now becomes the RxBox recipient. RxBox is a portable telemedicine device connected to an electronic medical record. It can capture physiologic signals, store the data as an electronic medical record and send them to clinical specialists should there be a need for specialized care. This project is a product of NTHC’s collaboration with the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Institute (EEEI) of UP Diliman, and the Advanced Science and Technology Institute (ASTI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and is a research program funded by the DOST – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD). For nearly half a century, seventy year old Anselmo Dela Cruz makes a living for his family through illegal logging and charcoal burning in a remote upland area of Tanay, Rizal.
"Ang Huling Pag-uuling" ( The Last Charcoal Making) tells a story of cultural change and indigenous lifestyle adaptation in their small community though the perspective of "Ka Selmo".

Enjoining in the pursuit to standardized the processing of business permits and licenses nationwide as per DILG-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular 01 series of 2010, the Municipal Government of Tanay become a pilot LGU of DOST-ICTO’s Electronic Business Permit and Licensing System (eBPLS), an online business and working permit application.
To further enhance the functionalities of eBPLS to electronic payment system, the DOST-ICTO brings USAID-ePESO Project in Tanay. With the integration of ePESO, taxpayers may pay their tax due using internet banking, credit and debit cards, or any electronic payment system. This facility promotes not only efficiency but transparency and accountability which is a primary agenda of Mayor Rafael A. Tanjuatco.
